Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server Administrator with strong expertise in IT infrastructure and Industrial IoT (IIoT) to manage enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, and manufacturing systems. This role requires close collaboration with IT, OT, and plant operations teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Server & Infrastructure Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux (RHEL / SUSE) servers.
  • Manage physical and virtual servers using VMware / Hyper-V.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and conduct capacity planning.
  • Perform OS patching, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Support on-premises, cloud (AWS / Azure), and hybrid environments.

2. Cloud & Virtualization

  • Manage workloads on AWS / Azure, including compute, storage, snapshots, and monitoring.
  • Support cloud cost optimization, sizing, and rightsizing.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for infrastructure operations.

3. IoT / OT & Manufacturing Systems Support

  • Support IoT / IIoT platforms, edge servers, and data collectors.
  • Integrate IT servers with PLC, SCADA, MES, and industrial networks.
  • Ensure high availability of shop-floor servers and gateways.
  • Coordinate with automation vendors for IoT deployments.
  • Support data flow from OT systems to enterprise platforms (SAP, analytics, reporting).

4. Security, Audit & Compliance

  • Implement server security controls aligned with ISO 27001, ITGC, and ITAC requirements.
  • Maintain audit logs, access control, and change records.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with SOC / cybersecurity teams for security operations.

5. Monitoring & Operations

  • Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, CloudWatch, or similar.
  • Handle incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
  • Participate in on-call support and critical incident handling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization.
  • Working knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to IoT / IIoT, PLC, SCADA, and MES environments.
  • Knowledge of backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, VLAN, firewall concepts).
  • Familiarity with IT security and compliance practices.

Good to Have

  • Experience working in automotive or manufacturing plants.
  • Exposure to SAP infrastructure (ECC / S/4HANA).
  • Scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell).
  • Experience with IoT data platforms and analytics.
