Job description - Service Engineer

Job Summary:

Axis Engineering Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Rotary Table Service Engineer to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our advanced rotary tables and related systems at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and uptime of our products, contributing to customer satisfaction and the continued success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

* Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and integration of rotary tables with various CNC machine tools.

* Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on rotary tables, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in 4-axis rotary tables efficiently and effectively.

* Perform repairs and replacements of components, including motors, encoders, bearings, seals, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

* Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of rotary tables.

* Document all service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, troubleshooting steps, and repair details accurately and promptly.

* Maintain a comprehensive inventory of necessary tools, test equipment, and spare parts.

* Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, application engineering, and product development, to address customer needs and provide feedback.

* Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures during service activities.

* Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in 4-axis rotary table systems.

* Be willing to travel to customer sites

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

* Proven experience (4 to 5] years) in servicing and maintaining 4-axis rotary tables or similar precision motion control equipment.

* Strong understanding of CNC machine tool operation and integration with rotary axes.

* Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, spindles, and lubrication systems.

* Solid understanding of electrical systems, including motors, encoders, sensors, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.

* Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting

* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good organizational and time management skills.

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in rotary tables.

* Experience in conducting customer training sessions.

* Familiarity with ISO quality standards and service procedures
