POSITION SUMMARY
The Scrum Master/Team Coach (SM/TC) at Zoetis ICC within the ZTD Commercial Enablement Team serves as a servant leader and Agile coach, guiding Scrum teams to deliver value by fostering Agile values, principles, and practices. This role facilitates Scrum ceremonies, removes impediments, promotes collaboration, and ensures adherence to the Scrum framework to enable high-performing teams.
Working closely with cross-functional Scrum teams-including Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Validation Specialists-and stakeholders such as Business Process Owners, ZTD Business Partners, and technical teams, the Scrum Master helps translate business needs into actionable user stories and drives value delivery.
Additionally, this role combines Agile facilitation with business analysis responsibilities to align business requirements with technical execution, supporting smooth sprint delivery and continuous improvement through effective collaboration and documentation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Percent of Time
Facilitate regular Program Increment (PI) Planning, including preparation, drafting plans, coordination, and review 10%
Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with Product Owners and team members 5%
Ensure effective Technical Grooming following Scrum framework 5%
Lead Scrum of Scrums meetings to coordinate weekly work and inspect sprint progress 5%
Facilitate sprint reviews and demos to gather feedback and improve solutions 5%
Conduct team retrospectives and create improvement backlogs 5%
Identify and resolve team challenges, conflicts, and impediments during sprints 10%
Coach stakeholders and non-agile team members on Agile best practices and interactions 5%
Collaborate with Business stakeholders to review, refine, clarify, and prioritize user stories using Agile tools such as JIRA, Asana, and Confluence 15%
Generate documentation and deliverables to support successful project delivery 10%
Partner with cross-functional and technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements 15%
Establish and maintain business relationships with key internal customers including Sales, Service, Enabling Function, and Sustainability teams 10%

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Commercial cross-functional team that includes Functional SMEs, Developers, Product Owners, Zoetis Business, Managed Service Providers, Project Managers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Relevant Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) are highly desirable.
* Business Analysis certifications like Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or Agile BA certification are a plus.
Experience:
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Team Coach, with a proven track record of facilitating Agile ceremonies, driving team performance, and removing impediments.
* Experience facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning and coordinating Scrum of Scrums in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe).
* Strong hands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Asana, and Confluence for backlog management, user story refinement, and documentation.
* At least 3 years of experience in Business Analysis within Agile teams, including requirements gathering, user story creation, and solution design.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders, including technical teams, business partners, and end-users.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills, with experience coaching non-Agile team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal customers across various functions such as Sales, Service, and Sustainability.
* Experience in Sales Performance Management (Commissions) is plus
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in the practice and application of Agile framework such as Kanban, Scrum.
* 3-5 years' experience in IT project management
* Good experience with Agile technologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
* Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders).
* Help teams implement changes effectively.
* Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
* Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity.
* At least 3 years of experience in Business Analysis within Agile teams, including requirements gathering, user story creation, and solution design.
* Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it.
Preferred Skills:
* Deep understanding of the SAP Sales Performance Management product including Territory and Quota, and Commissions Modules
