Educational Qualification: MBA (Sales, Retail, or Real Estate Management preferred)

About the Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for retail expansion and property acquisition? Were looking for an experienced Manager Business Development (Retail) to drive our store network growth, focusing on lease negotiations, site acquisitions, and portfolio optimization. This role is critical to ensuring the successful rollout of our retail stores across the region.

What You'll Do

Lead new retail site development in collaboration with Projects & Maintenance teams

Manage end-to-end lease transactions including new leases, renewals, expansions & closures

Conduct site visits, perform financial & feasibility analysis, and ensure timely execution

Maintain strong landlord relationships and ensure favorable negotiations

Ensure adherence to rent/revenue ratios for both new and existing stores

Track and report on performance metrics including net margin and backend cost recovery

Prepare weekly/monthly updates and maintain accurate documentation

Support compliance, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies

What We're Looking For

MBA in Sales/Retail/Real Estate Management (1st Division preferred)

10+ years' experience in business development within footwear, apparel, or retail industries

Strong understanding of retail property acquisition and statutory compliance

Excellent negotiation, communication & stakeholder management skills

Execution-driven mindset with a strong focus on results and profitability

Collaborative, adaptable, and customer-focused attitude

Key Metrics for Success

Rent-to-Revenue ratio (New & Existing Stores)

Timely Store Openings/Closures

Net Margin including backend costs

External: Landlords, Vendors, Business Consultants
