Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Assessment & Diagnosis

  • Conduct detailed physical and functional assessments of patients referred by physicians or consultants.

  • Identify patient problems related to mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and pain.

  • Formulate physiotherapy diagnoses and set measurable, realistic treatment goals.

2. Treatment Planning & Implementation

  • Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques.

  • Administer therapy including manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise therapy, and other modalities.

  • Educate patients and caregivers about exercises, posture correction, and preventive care.

  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

3. Rehabilitation & Recovery

  • Assist in pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation (orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, etc.).

  • Support patients with chronic conditions (arthritis, stroke, Parkinson's, spinal injuries, etc.) in regaining functional ability.

  • Promote early mobilization and functional independence for inpatient and outpatient clients.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient treatment records.

  • Prepare assessment reports and progress notes for referring physicians.

  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with medical documentation standards.

5. Equipment & Safety

  • Operate physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

  • Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.

6. Education & Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, etc.).

  • Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuing education programs.

  • Guide and supervise junior physiotherapists, interns, or assistants when required.
