Job Summary:

  • Lead and guide team members, providing governance expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of the integration project. Advocate for and contribute to development best practices and integration strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design high-quality integration solutions that are secure, self-maintaining and resilient.
  • Work with the Solution Architects and Integration Engineers to ensure the solution meets all requirements and is developed to the expected specification.

This includes:

  • Creating the initial integration design by coordinating with Integrated Applications/Platforms Solution architects.
  • Provide a detailed task breakdown with estimates.
  • Perform task delegation & peer code reviews.
  • Check in with team members daily to ensure they complete their assigned tasks on time.
  • Act as a team manager for assigned members and serve as a bridge between PO/SDM and team members.
  • Coordinate with integrated application teams during the different testing phases (e.g. Test and UAT).
  • Design and develop JavaScript wherever required.
  • leads, guides, and motivates junior team members to achieve organisational goals by setting objectives, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, providing feedback and development, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key competencies & requirements:
Operational guidance includes:

  • Implement high-quality exception management, including notification processes for both technical and business channels.
  • Maintenance guidelines for data management during normal Production operation.
  • Define retention period and backup requirements, and follow the Integration CoE standards and best practices for data management.
  • Ensure integrations are designed in a consistent and standardised manner.
  • Leading, mentoring and coaching the engineers to produce high-quality and high-performing integrations.
  • Foster an environment of trust, openness, collaboration and mutual support.
  • Contribute to Group IT integration standards, governance and integration strategy framework and documentation.
  • Ensure integrations adhere to the CoE Integration Strategy, guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure integrations adhere to ASSA ABLOY security standards and guidelines on protocol choices.
  • Ensure integrations adhere to GDPR and other regional regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure the applications are self-maintaining and do not require human intervention for normal operations (including business data failures, replaying a message etc.).

Education And/or Experience

  • Proven development experience (9 years+) in any coding language( similar to .NET/Java), as a senior developer in charge of software projects with proven development process knowledge.
  • Good understanding of platform/application/ integration development principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of formal software release and deployment management
  • Experience in working in a global organisation with geographically dispersed, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Driven and proactive, stays on top of the issues and follows up rigorously
  • Results and process-oriented
  • Good team player with experience in working with virtual, cross-functional teams respectful and with high integrity
  • Able to influence and inspire others
  • Strong experience in application development and integrating with ERP systems

Development Experience:

  • More than 5 years of experience in any coding language.
  • API development and knowledge of the API lifecycle.
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Familiar with Integration Platform (Boomi or similar)
  • Understanding of DevOps (including CI/CD)
  • Javascript knowledge
  • Idea about automation, Software/Product development life cycle.

Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
