Role and Responsibilities:
The IBM MQ- Admin is responsible for providing software administration for IBM WebSphere MQ, Message Broker, and Apache Tomcat software environments. This includes offering technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to the aforementioned software products. The role also involves maintaining the day-to-day operational functions of the software products, such as creating new application server instances, creating new queues within IBM WebSphere MQ, performing code deployments, and writing shell scripts. The IBM MQ- Admin is also expected to perform root cause analysis to identify the nature of software environment issues, follow up on open problems to ensure adequate resolution, manage key performance statistics of the software products, and examine system logs to diagnose issues.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software administration for IBM WebSphere MQ, Message Broker, and Apache Tomcat. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential.
