Role description
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain mainframe-based applications with high code quality.
  • Perform manual and automated tasks on mainframe systems and monitor transactions.
  • Conduct defect RCA, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Support release, configuration, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers.
  • Track operational metrics, report issues, and ensure SLA compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in software development, operations, or tech support.
  • Hands-on knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DBMS, and mainframe tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of Agile processes and SDLC principles.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to healthcare domain and terminology.
  • Experience in mainframe automation or process improvement.
  • Certifications in software engineering or mainframe systems.
