Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Engineer located in Pithampur, (M.P.). The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for executing tests, ensuring quality assurance, performing manual testing, and developing and implementing test cases. The role involves close collaboration with the software development team to ensure the highest quality standards are met for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures in line with ISO and customer requirements.
  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance in production.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality parameters.

Inspection & Testing:

  • Perform incoming material, in-process, and final product inspections.
  • Document inspection results and initiate corrective actions for deviations.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing/inspection equipment.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze defects, scrap, and rework to identify root causes.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Support Lean/Kaizen/Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain compliance with ISO, industry standards, and customer specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain quality reports, records, and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Provide training to employees on quality standards and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in packaging or related manufacturing.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, IATF, etc.)
  • Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis)
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality software
  • Hands-on experience with CAD modeling and GD&T drawings
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and data analysis

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • First-pass yield (FPY) / rejection rate
  • Reduction in customer complaints
  • Timely completion of corrective actions
  • Internal audit findings and closure rate
  • Cost of poor quality (COPQ)

Working Conditions:

  • Regular presence on the production floor required
  • Occasional travel for supplier audits or customer visits
