Job Description

We are seeking a best-in-class Metadata Specialist to join our cross-functional team to ensure consistent metadata, lineage, and business glossary management across all enterprise systems. The role requires a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, cataloging tools, and stakeholder coordination to maintain accurate data definitions and classifications.

Responsibilities
  • Capture, validate, and maintain metadata and CDE inventories across data domains.
  • Manage data catalogs and glossaries; enrich with business terms, classifications, and lineage mapping.
  • Support dataset documentation, version control, and stewardship workflows.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business users, data owners, and IT teams to ensure metadata accuracy and governance compliance.
  • Coordinate metadata ingestion and scanning across key platforms and repositories.
  • Provide stewardship reports and lineage dashboards to governance leadership.
  • Participate in client workshops to align metadata standards and promote catalog adoption.
Key Skills Requirements
  • 4–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata, or Stewardship roles.
  • Proven experience with one or more metadata tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Informatica Axon, Collibra, Alation).
  • Strong understanding of metadata models, CDE frameworks, and data classification principles.
  • Experience working in multi-stakeholder, client-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
