We are seeking an experienced R Programmer to develop, implement, and maintain complex financial models and analytical tools. The ideal candidate will leverage R's advanced statistical capabilities and specialized financial packages to analyze large datasets, predict market trends, manage risk, and support strategic business decisions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development: Design and build robust statistical and econometric models (e.g., credit risk, time-series analysis, GARCH models,) using the R programming language.
• Data Management & Analysis: Efficiently import, clean, manipulate, and analyze large, complex datasets from various sources, including real-time market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Quandl) and internal databases.
• Database Integration: Integrate R with internal data sources and delivery systems, utilizing SQL and cloud platforms (e.g.,AWS, Azure) to access and manage data.
• Backtesting & Validation: Ensure models are robust through rigorous backtesting and validation, maintaining coding standards and high-quality documentation.
• Visualization & Communication: Create compelling, interactive data visualizations and reports (using packages like ggplot2 or plotly, or R Markdown) to effectively communicate complex financial insights to stakeholders and non-technical teams.
• Collaboration: Work closely with financial analysts, traders, and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. 

Skills Requirements:

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience and knowledge of the R programming language and its ecosystem.
• Financial Packages: Proficiency with finance-specific R libraries such as quantmod, PerformanceAnalytics, TTR, xts, and 
• Statistical Knowledge: Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and quantitative analysis.
• Database Experience: Familiarity with database management and experience writing SQL queries.

Qualifications 

• 6-8 Years of Experience
• Experience with other programming languages, such as Python, for building end-to-end applications.
• Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in the financial services industry, with a solid understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management principles. 
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
