About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Costing Executive to join our back-office team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing quotations, handling tenders, conducting customer follow-ups, making customer calls, and supporting other commercial and costing-related activities. The role demands strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and accuracy in documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Quotation Preparation

  • Prepare accurate cost sheets, price estimates, and quotations as per customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with the production, design, and purchase teams to gather costing inputs.
  • Analyse material, labour, and process costs to ensure competitive pricing.

2. Tender Management

  • Review tender documents, extract relevant information, and prepare tender submissions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to collect required technical and commercial data.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders and documentation.

3. Customer Coordination & Follow-ups

  • Follow up with customers on quotations, approvals, and pending proposals.
  • Handle customer calls for inquiries, clarifications, and updates.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and support the sales team.

4. Back Office & Documentation

  • Maintain records of quotations, tenders, customer communications, and cost sheets.
  • Prepare MIS reports related to costing, pricing, and follow-up status.
  • Support the sales and operations team in day-to-day back-office tasks.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Good understanding of costing, pricing, and basic commercial calculations.
  • Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet timelines.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry processes will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in costing, back office, sales coordination, or similar roles.

Working Conditions
