Position: Lead Product Software Engineer

Location: Pune (Global In-house Center)

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Product Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade .NET applications in a global financial and compliance environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining deep technical expertise with the ability to guide teams, set best practices, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an Agile team of developers, UI/UX engineers, and QA to deliver mission-critical cloud-based applications.
  • Define technical approaches, frameworks, and best practices to ensure high-quality and maintainable solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy applications on Azure using DevOps and PaaS technologies.
  • Drive architecture discussions, documentation, and gate reviews covering infrastructure, security, and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, TDD, CI/CD, and SOLID principles.
  • Own end-to-end delivery, from requirement analysis and estimation to deployment and production support.
  • Evaluate new tools/technologies and drive adoption within the development teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver features within agreed timelines and ensure customer delight.

Technical Skills (Must Have)

  • Hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, RESTful Services, Web API, SQL
  • Experience with WPF/WCF, Desktop Application Development
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, Visual Studio (2017/2019), Azure DevOps in Agile environments
  • Solid understanding of design patterns, data flow, usability, and user experience
  • Strong backend service design and microservices/SOA architecture

Technical Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with MS Azure, Pipelines, AKS, Containers (Linux/Windows)
  • Exposure to HTML5, CSS, JSON, JS libraries
  • Working knowledge of Angular 8+, Bootstrap

Experience Required

  • 8+ years of software development experience with .NET technologies (C#, Web & Windows frameworks, PowerShell), including 3+ years as a Technical Lead
  • Proven expertise in object-oriented design, microservices/SOA, and cloud-based application delivery
  • Deep technical knowledge of CI/CD, TDD, SOLID principles, and Agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of application security, scalability, performance optimization, multi-threading, and clustering
  • Database design and development expertise with exposure to globalization, localization, and third-party integrations
  • Experience in responsive/adaptive design and modern UI frameworks
