Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and adherence to hotel standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily according to hotel standards
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace used towels and amenities
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all surfaces and floors
  • Clean bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and fixtures
  • Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, tea/coffee, and water bottles

Public Area Cleaning

  • Maintain cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, staircases, staff areas, and other public spaces
  • Empty trash bins and ensure waste is disposed of properly
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor

Linen & Supplies Handling

  • Collect soiled linens and deliver to laundry
  • Organize and restock housekeeping trolleys
  • Maintain proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Guest Service

  • Greet guests politely and respond to basic requests
  • Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality
  • Report lost and found items as per hotel policy

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Basic literacy preferred
  • Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar role is an advantage
  • Training in cleaning procedures and safety practices preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to handle cleaning tools and equipment
  • Capability to lift up to 10–15 kg if required

Work Conditions

  • Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays
  • Indoor work environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals

Performance Standards

  • Rooms cleaned and prepared within standard time limits

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15, ₹35,000.40 per month
