Skill Profile: Mid-Level Power BI Developer
Technical Skills:
1. Power BI Development:
o Proficiency in creating and managing Power BI reports and dashboards.
o Experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile.
o Knowledge of Power Query for data transformation and manipulation.
o Ability to create complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas for data analysis.
2. Data Modeling:
o Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
o Experience in designing and implementing star and snowflake schemas.
o Ability to create and manage relationships between tables.
3. SQL:
o Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
o Experience with SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks.
4. ETL Processes:
o Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
o Ability to integrate data from various sources into Power BI.
5. Data Visualization:
o Strong skills in data visualization and data storytelling.
o Ability to create visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards.
o Knowledge of best practices for data visualization and user experience.

o Familiarity with life sciences data particularly IQVIA, Komodo or related.
o Understanding of life science-specific data and reporting requirements.
Education and Certifications:

• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• Certifications:
o Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI).
o Other relevant certifications in data analysis and business intelligence.
