Job Description (JD)

Role Title:
Community Manager

Department:
Front-of-House (FOH)

Reports To:
Founder

Primary Purpose:
To build emotional loyalty by cultivating relationships, driving community engagement, elevating guest experience, and representing Kulture's brand values

Key Responsibilities(A) Guest Relationship & Experience

  • Greet guests warmly; recognise repeat customers by name and preference
  • Maintain a welcoming, calm, "third place" vibe
  • Engage with guests without intruding; read the room
  • Introduce new menu items and specialty coffee
  • Handle complaints with empathy, speed, and a resolution-first approach

(B) Community Building

  • Plan & activate micro-events: coffee and food tastings, meetups, small artist sessions, etc.
  • Foster local neighbourhood relationships
  • Encourage user-generated content moments (without pushing)
  • Support collaborations with local creators

(C) Loyalty & Feedback

  • Track regular customers; maintain simple internal notes
  • Collect feedback in structured form; spot patterns
  • Prevent negative reviews by solving issues on the floor
  • Encourage loyalty programs subtly and strategically

(D) In-Store Atmosphere & Flow

  • Observe seating distribution, vibe, and ambience
  • Identify bottlenecks during peak hours
  • Coordinate with baristas & servers for smoother flow
  • Keep an eye on cleanliness perception

(E) Digital Community Support

(Not a social media manager, but a feeder of stories)

  • Share customer stories with marketing team/ social media manager
  • Support shoots, influencers, and content capture in-store
  • Provide insights on guest behavior for content strategy

(F) VIP / Influencer / Media Handling

  • Receive them thoughtfully; offer personalised experience
  • Guide them through menu and brand story
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure seamless hosting

(G) Internal Culture & Team Support

  • Model hospitality excellence
  • Help staff deal with stressful peaks
  • Share guest insights with management
