BISH (Bihar Innovation & Startup Hub) is an initiative by Team ETY dedicated to empowering the youth of Bihar by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment.

The platform aims to connect students, startups, freelancers, and employers through a unified ecosystem of opportunities, learning, and growth.

Role: Web Developer (Mission-Based Internship)

We are seeking skilled and motivated Web Developers to join the core development team for Project BISH.

As part of this mission, you will design, develop, and optimize the official BISH website to ensure it is fast, responsive, and user-focused.

You'll work closely with our design, content, and operations teams to build a platform that inspires innovation and creates impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the official BISH website using WordPress (Elementor / custom code).

Implement features such as user login and registration, job and internship posting, freelancer hiring, and membership access.

Integrate a secure payment gateway for donations, memberships, and premium features.

Ensure responsive design, SEO optimization, and cross-platform compatibility.

Collaborate with designers and content creators to ensure cohesive branding and UX.

Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the site's performance and uptime.

Suggest improvements for functionality, scalability, and user experience.

Required Skills

Proficiency in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience with Elementor and membership/community plugins (BuddyPress, FluentCommunity, or similar).

Familiarity with API integration, databases, and authentication systems.

Good understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive web design.

Strong communication, accountability, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in developing job portals, freelancing platforms, or community sites.

Basic knowledge of SEO tools and web performance optimization.

Experience with content management systems and custom dashboard development.
