In the role of the Associate -Finance & Operations will work closely with the Sr. Associate/Manager and is responsible for all strategic, financial, operational and administrative areas relating to the following broad set of primary Key Result Areas (KRAs):

• Supporting Grant & Investments Process
• Managing Startup Contracts and Financial Compliance
• Documentation & Coordination with Startups

Position & DesignationGrade - AssociateThe Associate - Finance & Operations as a contributor, will primarily be based at a strategic hub for advancing start-up ecosystems.This role is expected to consistently lead startup seed investments & fundraising to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. Finance & Operations team at Forge to support activities relating to Grant & Investment Processes, Compliances, External Reporting, Financial Statement Preparation, Startup Performance Reviews, and General Administration. This role is ideal for a CA Inter / Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant with strong analytical skills and an interest in working at the intersection of finance, startups, and fund administration.

CompensationForge compensation is at par with the top end of the social enterprises sector in India and continuously benchmarked to be above the average compensation offered in the social (non-commercial or development) sector in general but significantly above the average compensation offered by TBIs.

The Total CTC will include 3 major components namely, Fixed Monthly Gross, Fixed Quarterly Payout, Annual Development Bonus (linked to demonstration of progress on developing and strengthening capabilities in alignment with the Career Advancement and Capabilities Development framework of Forge).

Role & Responsibilities - Key Result Areas

Supporting Grant & Investments Process

• Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining grant utilisation statements and fund flow reports;
• Responsible for undertaking Collect, compile,validate and co-ordinate with startup founders for financial and operational performance data from portfolio startups executed by Forge;
• Coordinating with the legal, financial and corporate affairs professionals engaged by Forge in the implementation of specific scope of work and SOPs in respect of individual investment transactions;
• Manage timely preparation of reports required by government, corporate, and funding agencies.
• Offer complete support to startups for accelerating their fundraising initiatives (follow-on investments) by exploring opportunities and avenues from the broader VC/VCV ecosystem through continuous engagement;
• Support all Forge Finance & Compliance in submitting all mandatory periodic reports to the Govt/Corporate sponsors in accordance with the stated expectations/guidelines in a timely manner;

Managing Startup Contracts and Financial Compliance

• Managing the standardisation, documentation, reporting and review of the Financials MIS to ensure the desired data is collected, presented, analysed and visualised in a timely manner;
• Assisting in preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements under supervision of senior team members;
• Coordinating directly with the Statutory Auditor to track, report and managing all matters concerning the entire scope of financial governance and administration as required in accordance with the laws and regulations;
• Tracking compliance calendars (RoC, GST, TDS, Income Tax) and assisting in the preparation of working files for submission;

Documentation & Coordination Financial operations

• Assisting in drafting and maintaining documentation, agreements, and internal registers;
• Coordinating with internal teams and external consultants for smooth execution of finance-related activities;
• Providing administrative support for meetings, filings, and stakeholder interactions;

Required Expertise & Qualifications

• Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Companies act compliance, Audit, Grant & Investment Administration and Financial Management.
• Proficient in accounting standards, compliance basics, and MIS reporting.
• Strong track record of managing Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Relations, ensuring transparent and effective communication with all program partners.
• Committed to continuous innovation and proactive in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
• Extensive expertise in the startup ecosystem with industrial sector exposure.

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
