Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Credit Analyst
to evaluate and monitor the creditworthiness of our U.S.-based clients. This role involves conducting thorough financial and risk assessments, reviewing payment behavior, and providing recommendations that support safe and profitable business decisions. The Credit Analyst will work closely with our sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely credit approvals and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Evaluation

  • Review and analyze U.S. clients' financial statements, credit bureau reports (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, Equifax), and trade references.

  • Verify company information with the Secretary of State and other relevant databases.

  • Assess industry risk, client size, and payment history before extending credit terms.

  • Risk Assessment & Recommendations

  • Establish appropriate credit limits and payment terms for new and existing clients.

  • Recommend credit insurance or additional guarantees when needed.

  • Prepare and present credit assessment reports with clear risk ratings.

  • Ongoing Monitoring

  • Track client payment behavior, identify late or missed payments, and flag high-risk accounts.

  • Maintain updated records of client credit files, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

  • Escalate concerns about potential defaults and suggest corrective actions.

  • Collaboration

  • Collaborate with sales teams to strike a balance between client acquisition and prudent credit risk management.

  • Partner with accounts receivable and collections teams to ensure timely payments.
  • Provide guidance to management on overall credit exposure and risk trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Credit Analyst, preferably in the U.S. market.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. credit bureaus, payment trends, and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficiency in credit risk tools (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, Creditsafe, Experian).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with logistics, transportation, or B2B service industries.
  • Familiarity with credit insurance and trade finance practices.
  • Advanced Excel or financial modeling skills.
