(Junior position working like an assistant but with an ability to understand systems, reporting to CPO in India)
Job description:
Manage the procurement quoting and costing system (Supply frame from Siemens), its connection to the corporate ERP (currently IFS), and provide support to other members of the procurement team in this area.
Track procurement budgets, spend, and pricing patterns to provide bases for decisions to the commodity buyers and the CPO.
Analyse operational purchasing against budgets for the commodity buyers to determine whether orders placed by the logistics team are appropriate for demand, agreed lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs) and whether any of these metrics should be renegotiated by the commodity buyers because of changes in projects from initial forecasts.
Along with the commodity buyers, liaison with the project buyer team along responsible for quotation responses and derive offers from suppliers for customer quotes efficiently, speedily for areas where Supply frame can support.
Conduct as-needed analysis using MS Office tools for the procurement team (e.g. price comparisons, package creation for suppliers, price indexing to budgets).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Commerce, Engineering, or Information Systems
4-8 years of experience in procurement analysis or data roles
Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization skills
Familiarity with procurement tools like Supply frame and ERP systems (IFS preferred)
Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset
Basic understanding of procurement processes and budgeting
Strong communication and support capabilities
