Summary

This position is responsible for development and maintenance of HR applications on the IBM i.

Scope:

Primary Job Functions

This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.

1.Participate in scrum meetings to understand the project plans, requirements, collaborate with the team and stakeholders

2.Understand the stories, features, use cases design and build appropriate solutions to meet customer needs in timely manner with highest quality

3.Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

4.Prepare program specifications based on documented business requirements

5.Develop code specifications by converting logical sequence and workflow into program language

6.Verify coding by performing unit testing and trial runs

7.Integrate applications based on the business need

8.Create Unit and Integration tests and ensure they pass

9.Review and Refactor existing code and continuouslyimprove the programs

10.Mentor and provide direction to a team of developers as needed and may coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the areas goals as well as audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to

11.Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to extend the capabilities of the IBM i module for HR processes

12.Participate in design and code reviews of extensions and customizations

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Experience: 5+ years of experience as an IBM i developer/senior developer

4+ years of experience in maintenance, enhancement and support of IBM i applications

Experience in Infor HCM is an added plus but not mandatory

Licenses or Certifications None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

RPG, RPG ILE, Free format RPG, DB2
