Job Description Workday Functional Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Core HCM, Reporting, Talent, and Performance Management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in implementing Workday solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders, and supporting HR transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in end-to-end Workday implementation activities across Core HCM, Talent & Performance modules.
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business users and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Configure Workday modules and support reporting needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive system testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and enhancements.
  • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate user training, knowledge transfer, and documentation of functional processes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Approximately 6 years of hands-on experience in Workday, specifically in:

  • Core HCM

  • Reporting

  • Talent & Performance

  • Must possess active Workday certification.

  • Minimum two full-cycle Workday implementation projects in a functional capacity.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and industry-standard best practices.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and client teams.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to additional Workday modules.
  • Experience working in any industry domain.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and client-facing roles.
