Job Title: Embedded Developer

Experience Required: 6 Years

Location: Work From Home (Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
  • Work with low-power MCUs (MSP430, ARM Cortex series, etc.) to build efficient, reliable systems.
  • Implement and debug communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
  • Integrate and test wireless communication modules like BLE, NFC, GSM/LTE modem, etc.
  • Perform code debugging and analysis using IDEs (breakpoints, step-through, variable monitoring).
  • Collaborate remotely with cross-functional hardware and software teams.
  • Optimize firmware for power consumption, memory usage, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure robust firmware delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field.
  • 6 years of experience in embedded systems development.
  • Proficient in C programming and embedded firmware design.
  • Experience with RTOS-based systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies (BLE, NFC, Modem).
  • Proficiency in debugging tools and IDEs (Code Composer Studio, Keil, IAR, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote contractual setup.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with firmware over-the-air updates (FOTA) or bootloaders.
  • Knowledge of power optimization techniques for battery-operated devices.
  • Experience with Git/SVN version control systems.
  • Exposure to embedded Linux or RTOS environments.
