Role Overview:

Principal – Will be responsible for leading the academic vision of
The Gurukulam School
. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring academic programs that ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and overall student development. The Principal will play a key role in establishing a culture of academic rigor, innovation, and values aligned with the school's mission.


Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership & Strategy

1-Develop and implement the school's academic plan in line with the CBSE/IB/ICSE curriculum.

2-Ensure effective lesson planning, syllabus completion, and high-quality teaching standards.

3-Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and continuous learning practices for teachers.

4-Oversee student assessment systems and ensure data-driven academic improvement.

Faculty Management

1-Recruit, train, and mentor teaching staff to uphold high educational standards.

2-Conduct regular classroom observations, feedback sessions, and performance appraisals.

3-Promote a positive and collaborative teaching culture focused on growth and innovation.

Curriculum & Pedagogy

1-Supervise curriculum design and ensure alignment with national and school-specific goals.

2-Integrate modern pedagogy, experiential learning, and technology in classrooms.

3-Monitor co-curricular and enrichment programs that complement academic learning.

Student Development

1-Track academic performance and implement interventions for learning support.

2-Foster holistic growth — focusing on academics, discipline, and values.

3-Maintain strong communication with parents and stakeholders regarding academic progress.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

1-Ensure adherence to all CBSE/Board norms and regulatory compliances.

2-Prepare school for academic audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.

3-Maintain documentation, reports, and data related to academic performance.


Desired Qualifications & Experience:

1-Master's Degree in Education or related field (B.Ed/M.Ed preferred).

2-12–15+ years of experience in school academics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

3-Strong understanding of CBSE/IB/ICSE curriculum frameworks.

4-Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

5-Visionary mindset with passion for innovation in education.
