Role: Furniture Designer – Modular & Production Ready

Department: Design & Development

Reporting To: Production Head / Director

Mission-Critical Objective:

Drive high-precision, production-ready designs that reduce rework, accelerate approvals, and boost throughput across manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop modular designs (kitchens, wardrobes, office furniture) using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision.
  • Produce factory-ready drawings: carcass details, elevations, sections, hardware positions, BOM.
  • Work closely with production to ensure design feasibility and adherence to machine constraints.
  • Prepare 3D visualizations aligned with client expectations and brand aesthetics.
  • Maintain design standards, dimension discipline, and file hygiene.
  • Coordinate with sales for client revisions and technical clarifications.
  • Optimize material usage, minimize wastage, and support CNC routing workflows.

Eligibility Matrix:

  • 2–5 years of experience in modular manufacturing (non-negotiable).
  • Strong portfolio with real manufacturing drawings, not only renders.
  • Deep familiarity with plywood, HDHMR, edge bands, hardware brands (Hettich, Blum, Hafele).
  • Sharp understanding of ergonomics, standard modules, and production tolerances.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments.
