position: Estimation & Tender Engineer

Domain: Residential & Commercial Projects (High-End Focus – Hotels, Hospitals, Universities, etc.)

Key Responsibilities1. Estimation & Costing

  • Prepare detailed costing sheets for all types of doors (wooden, metal, fire-rated, acoustic, sliding, automatic, specialty doors).
  • Develop BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material take-offs from architectural drawings.
  • Estimate costs for commercial projects (80%) and residential projects (20%).
  • Evaluate and compare material specifications, finishes, and hardware for accurate cost impact.
  • Maintain cost database (materials, labor, subcontractor rates) for future reference and benchmarking.

2. Tendering

  • Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Prepare tender submissions, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations, negotiations, and price finalization.
  • Submit competitive, accurate, and timely bids for residential and commercial projects.

3. Documentation & Communication

  • Prepare professional costing sheets, rate analysis, and reports using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Maintain a structured cost library for recurring project references.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Draft clarifications / RFIs during tender process.

4. Market & Vendor Management

  • Stay updated on market rates for materials, hardware, and finishes.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor & supplier database for doors, accessories, and finishes.

5. Coordination

  • Liaise with design, project execution, and procurement teams for smooth handover of awarded tenders.
  • Support project managers during value engineering and cost optimization exercises.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of all types of doors (residential, commercial, specialty – fire, acoustic, security, sliding, automatic, etc.).
  • Expertise in cost estimation, rate analysis, and tendering.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel – advanced level, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prepare detailed and professional costing sheets.
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes, fire standards, and specifications related to doors.

Educational & Professional Background

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Quantity Surveying.
  • 3–8 years of experience in estimation and tendering, preferably with exposure to high-end commercial projects.
  • Previous experience in doors / joinery / fit-out industry preferred.

Work Focus Distribution

  • Commercial Projects: 80% (Hotels, Hospitals, Universities, Offices, Institutions)
  • Residential Projects: 20% (Premium Villas, Apartments, High-End Residences)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40, ₹70,000.00 per month
