Job Title:Supervisor

Department: Operations

Location: Deoghar (Jharkhand) , Daman & Diu (Gujrat) & Bhopal (MP) Airports

Reports To: Airport Manager / Regional Manager (Setup & Operations)

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage frontline ground handling operations at the airport by supervising manpower,

ensuring adherence to service standards, and maintaining operational efficiency and safety in

alignment with BKJ Airports values and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Supervision

Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned area (Passenger Services, Ramp, or Cargo).

Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks such as check-in, boarding,

loading/unloading, and documentation.

Monitor flight handling performance to meet turnaround time (TAT) and service level

agreements (SLAs).

2. Team Management

Lead and guide operational staff to ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to SOPs.

Allocate manpower efficiently as per flight schedules and workload.

Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefs to ensure clarity and performance tracking.

3. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with airline representatives, airport authorities, security, and internal departments

for smooth flight operations.

Handle on-ground issues, disruptions, or passenger complaints promptly and professionally.

Report operational incidents, delays, or equipment issues to the Airport Manager.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with DGCA, BCAS, and airport safety

regulations.

Promote and enforce adherence to safety practices and PPE usage.

Maintain accurate operational and compliance records for audits and inspections.

5. Performance & Quality Monitoring

Track operational performance metrics and implement corrective measures where needed.

Ensure high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.

Support audits, inspections, and training sessions to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate in any discipline (Preference for Aviation / Ground Handling Diploma holders).

4-8 years of experience in ground handling operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or

shift leader role.

Strong understanding of airline and airport procedures.

Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
