Our purpose points the way
In Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity's biggest challenges. Since we began more than a century ago, this has been our guide. It's how we've gotten so far. And it's how we'll impact the future. Now, more than ever, the world needs change. And with biosolutions, the possibilities for transformation are endless.
We're here to better our world with biology.
Join us as our new Regional Sustainability Partner
Be the driving force behind sustainable production transformation Is sustainability at the heart of everything you do? Are you eager to work hands-on with industrial production processes while making a meaningful impact on the environment? If so, this is your chance to join Novonesis and play a critical role in shaping a more sustainable future
At Novonesis, sustainability is not just a buzzword – it is in our DNA. Guided by our purpose of bettering the world with biology, we are committed to tackling some of the greatest challenges of our time: climate change, water stress, and resource depletion. We're proud of our legacy in sustainability, but we are far from finished. With ambitious 2030 targets, we're accelerating our transformation across operations—and we need your expertise to make it happen.
Welcome to Sustainability in Operations
You will join a global team working with strategy development, roadmap creation, program management and deployment of Novonesis sustainability targets. We are currently three colleagues and are set to grow. You'll be part of a forward-thinking organization where your ideas and efforts directly contribute to combating climate change and preserving natural resources.
In this role you'll make an impact by:
Bringing both expertise in production and engineering together with a passion for sustainability. And we expect you to take ownership of initiatives that reduce Novonesis' environmental footprint and drive sustainability excellence across our production sites in India, while also maintaining an overview of regional activities in APAC.
Your key responsibilities will include: ·
- Ensuring global sustainability goals and regional priorities are well-understood and actionable across manufacturing sites ·
- Prepare regional plan to meet global sustainability targets and regional environmental challenges in alignment with stakeholders, including conceptualization and development of local program ·
- Leading deployment of sustainability initiatives for our India sites, steering execution of identified initiatives at the sites through cross-functional team collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders ·
- Supporting continuous improvement of day-to-day processes across climate, water, and resource circularity ·
- Tracking and reporting progress on sustainability milestones, contributing to global targets and key performance indicators ·
- Building capacity across teams by facilitating networks, sharing best practices, and connecting sustainability learnings across the region ·
- Act as the primary regional representative for sustainability, ensuring it is integrated into decision-making at all levels
Your success will depend on close collaboration with site environmental teams, process engineers, site management, and global colleagues in sustainability and operations.
To succeed you must hold:
- +5 years of experience working in production or engineering (preferably with biosolutions or the like), with a clear understanding of the environmental impacts of industrial manufacturing ·
- Familiarity with sustainability concepts like energy efficiency, water management, carbon reduction, waste, and circularity
- Proven ability to lead projects or programs, ideally with experience in sustainability initiatives ·
- A self-starter who challenges the status quo and drives transformation with enthusiasm ·
- Meticulous project management capabilities, with a knack for solving challenges and keeping progress on track ·
- A collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a global team and support collective goals for a greener future
