We are seeking
a visionary leader
to build, lead, and scale engineering, operations support, and data analytics functions for Acron Aviation in India. The job holder will shape the strategic direction, drive innovation through automation and AI, and ensure alignment with US/UK teams while fostering operational excellence and compliance with global standards.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive long-term strategic initiatives aligned with Acron's avionics, training systems, and data analytics businesses.
- Leverage automation and AI to challenge the status quo and enable smarter, faster ways of working across engineering and operations.
- Translate vision into executable product roadmaps and go-to-market plans spanning avionics, training systems, and analytics.
Engineering & Data Analytics Leadership
- Build high-performing teams in Systems, Software, Electrical, and Test Engineering with deep focus on DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, DO-160G standards.
- Establish and grow a Data Analytics function in India to support predictive maintenance, flight data processing, and AI-driven insights.
- Champion MLOps practices, automation frameworks, and lean engineering to enhance scalability and reliability.
- Drive adoption of AI/ML for test automation, anomaly detection, and data-driven decision making.
Operational Excellence
- Lead procurement support, customer service, technical publications, and global operations shared services.
- Embed lean and automation practices to improve cycle times, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with US/UK teams using clear rules of engagement, overlap hours, and structured handoffs.
Financial Stewardship
- Full P&L accountability for the India CoE, balancing cost optimization with sustainable growth.
- Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with emphasis on scaling data analytics and AI-driven efficiency initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, FAA, EASA, DO-178C/254, DO-160G, ARP4754A, AS9100D, and India's DPDP Act for data handling.
- Implement governance frameworks for ethical and responsible deployment of AI and automation.
Innovation & Growth
- Foster a culture of innovation by incubating new solutions in avionics, training systems, and flight data analytics.
- Build partnerships with OEMs, regulators, suppliers, and universities to strengthen the talent and technology ecosystem.
Essential Functions
- Automation & AI: Drive integration of AI/ML across avionics, training systems, and analytics to enhance design, testing, predictive maintenance, and operations.
- Data Analytics: Establish a center of excellence for flight data solutions, focusing on real-time analytics, data pipelines, and predictive insights for airlines and MROs.
- Lean Systems: Champion lean product development, automation in test/verification, and operational efficiency.
- Global Collaboration: Create structured knowledge transfer programs, buddy systems with US/UK teams, and reverse learning where India leads in automation/AI best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of engineering/operations leadership in Aerospace/Avionics, with proven success in scaling global teams.
- Deep expertise in avionics standards (DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160G, ARP4754A/4761, ARINC) and regulated environments.
- Strong background in data analytics platforms, AI/ML deployment, and automation frameworks.
- Proven ability to build and stabilize large teams (150+ FTEs), manage P&L, and deliver operational excellence.
- Prior leadership in multinational environments, bridging engineering, operations, and analytics functions.
