Job Purpose:

To deploy, configure, maintain, and support Microsoft Project Server (MSP) ensuring seamless project management workflows, system stability, and integration with other enterprise tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Project Server to support project management processes.
  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to gather business requirements and customize system settings.
  • Create and manage project schedules, resources, and reporting systems within Project Server.
  • Validate design, configure, implement, and provide technical/functional support.
  • Integrate Project Server with Active Directory, SharePoint, and possibly SAP (via EPC or third-party tools).
  • Set up security permissions and manage user access.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any MSP-related issues.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and business continuity measures.
  • Stay up to date with Microsoft patches and best practices.
  • Provide post-production support (resolve tickets, handle change requests).
  • Conduct workshops and training for program/project/resource managers and administrators.
  • Help build Power BI dashboards and KPIs for project insights.

Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM).
  • Strong experience as a Microsoft Project Server Administrator.
  • Deep understanding of MSP architecture, configuration, and customization.
  • Experience integrating Project Server with SAP or other enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and visualization.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server for database maintenance and query operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Sound understanding of project management principles (PMO/PPM frameworks).
