Role Summary
We are seeking a
Risk and Modelling Analyst
for a fast-growing fintech NBFC. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data-driven decision-making, risk analytics, and process optimization within the lending ecosystem. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to model development, portfolio monitoring, and continuous process improvement in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze loan portfolio data using tools such as Python, MySQL, Excel, or dashboarding platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Superset) to generate actionable insights.
  • Assist in developing and refining risk models and strategic frameworks aligned with business goals.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that track key portfolio, risk, and performance metrics for internal stakeholders.
  • Support monitoring of multiple risk types — including credit, operational, liquidity, and compliance — across secured and unsecured products.
  • Contribute to process design initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Participate in drafting and refining risk policies to guide lending decisions.
  • Assist in developing underwriting strategies for effective loan evaluation.
  • Collaborate with teams across tech, product, business, collections, and operations to ensure risk awareness and strategic alignment.
  • Manage, organize, and analyze data to drive business growth while maintaining sound risk practices.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, risk management, or related domains (experience in fintech preferred).
  • Proficiency in at least one data manipulation tool (Python, MySQL, Excel) and familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Superset.
  • Basic understanding of risk categories — credit, operational, liquidity — and related data processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to work across teams and functions.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving startup ecosystem.
  • Interest in leveraging data to solve real-world financial challenges.
