Job Description: Technical Data Governance Lead

Location: Chennai (Onsite, 5 days a week)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Data Governance Lead to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Informatica Data Governance tools and end-to-end project delivery, preferably in the Banking domain. This is a client-facing role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication, and leadership in driving enterprise-level data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end Data Governance projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams to design and implement data governance solutions.
  • Define project scope, activities, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage installation, configuration, and administration of Informatica products (on-premise and cloud).
  • Work on hardware sizing, architecture design, and prerequisites planning for Informatica deployments.

  • Provide hands-on expertise in:

  • Data Discovery & Cataloguing (Enterprise Data Catalog - EDC)

  • Data Governance (Informatica AXON)
  • Data Quality (IDQ)
  • Master Data Management (MDM - Multidomain)

  • Data Privacy Management (DPM)

  • Interact directly with client teams, ensuring smooth project execution and knowledge transfer.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

  • Data Governance Informatica AXON
  • Data Discovery & Cataloguing Informatica EDC
  • Data Quality Informatica IDQ
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Informatica Administration (installation, configuration, sizing, maintenance)
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, lineage, profiling, and curation

Experience Required

  • 6 + years of total experience in Data Governance and Informatica projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica AXON, EDC, IDQ, and MDM.
  • Prior experience in Banking / Financial Services domain preferred.
  • Strong project delivery and client-facing experience.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client interaction skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
