About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) Specialist with at least 6 months to 1 year of experience, preferably with hands-on exposure to risk assessment. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance processes, and risk management practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & Compliance:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining organizational GRC frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.).
  • Support internal audits, compliance activities, and documentation.
  • Help track compliance gaps and follow up on remediation activities.
  • Maintain policies, SOPs, and governance documentation.

Risk Assessment & Management:

  • Conduct basic risk assessments on systems, processes, and applications.
  • Document risks, analyse impact and likelihood, and assist in maintaining the Risk Register.
  • Support risk treatment plans and coordinate with stakeholders for mitigation activities.
  • Assist in vendor or third-party risk assessments.

Security & Process Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for controls evaluation.
  • Support incident documentation and reporting processes.
  • Help assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Participate in preparing reports, dashboards, and audit evidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in GRC, Information Security, or Risk Assessment.
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Information Security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2 etc.)
  • Risk management concepts
  • Internal audit processes
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of IT systems, controls, and processes.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Exposure to GRC tools (Archer, ServiceNow GRC, LogicGate, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data protection standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Certifications such as ISO 27001 Foundation, Security+, CRISC (beginner level) are a plus.
