About the Role

Are you an accomplished Controls Engineer looking for your next challenge? Are you known for solving complex automation and electrical control problems?

As an Automation Controls Engineer – Lead, you will play a key role in designing, programming, and integrating advanced control systems for manufacturing and process applications. You'll also mentor and lead a team of engineers, driving innovation and technical excellence across multiple automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and integrate manufacturing process control systems, combining new and existing hardware and software into customer solutions.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and interface various PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, Servo Drives, and VFD systems.
  • Work with major automation platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta, Sick, and Fanuc.
  • Design electrical wiring diagrams, control system architectures, SLDs, and control BOMs.
  • Select appropriate switchgears, sensors, feedback elements, and power supplies required for electrical design.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical design team on conceptualization, I/O design, and selection of sensors and motors.
  • Lead and mentor a team of control engineers, including fresh graduates and junior professionals, ensuring project quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).

    Diploma candidates with exceptional experience will also be considered.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in electrical process control programming, including CNCs, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA/DCS, and VFDs.
  • Proven experience designing and programming industrial control systems using:

    Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta, etc.
  • Strong expertise in PLC/HMI software tools such as TIA Portal, Factory Studio, FactoryTalk, GX Works, WSP Soft, and FAPT Ladder.
  • Working knowledge of EPLAN and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience in robot interfacing with Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa, or ABB robots.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills.
