Client Group Overview

The Client Group has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and is composed of five main areas:

• Sales & Client Services works with financial intermediaries and institutions to offer diversified investment solutions that help clients build and preserve their wealth

• Business Development is a conduit to the firm's investment teams and supports our clients and internal business partners through investment-platform and product content, messaging, competitive analysis and education

• Product Strategy & Development designs, develops and manages the firm's global lineup of investment services and considers clients' evolving needs to identify new opportunities

• Marketing promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and events

Product Analyst

As a product analyst, you will be assigned to a specific asset class within the business development team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, product strategists, and the sales team, providing essential support through product content, messaging, and competitive analysis.

Product Messaging:

• Conduct a thorough analysis of specific AB product strategies, which involves developing a deep understanding of the product's key features, AB's macro-level fundamental and quantitative outlook, and portfolio performance and positioning

• Identify the unique differentiators of the product compared to its competitors.

• Create insightful and engaging content that aligns with the current economic landscape and the portfolio's key characteristics. This includes updating client servicing materials, crafting market outlooks, and writing commentary on portfolio performance, positioning and ESG alignments.

Competitive Analysis:

• Conduct market analysis to identify potential competitors for the strategy. This involves utilizing both hard screening and soft screening techniques. Hard screening entails using tools such as Morningstar, Bloomberg, and eVestment to identify the population and applying objective filters based on criteria such as minimum AUM, investor region, and performance. Soft screening involves incorporating subjective filters based on asset class mix, investor perception of the product, and objectives.

• Present your analysis to product and portfolio managers to finalize the list of potential competitors.

• Use these identified competitors to monitor the performance of AB products. Portfolio managers will leverage this information to optimize their portfolios. Additionally, these competitors will be instrumental in pitching our products to potential clients.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the product's market presence and ensuring its competitive advantage. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the product's relevance and appeal in a dynamic market environment.
