We're looking for a collateral specialist to:

1. Work across teams and functions to get the best solution or course of action

2. Execute the processes and controls you are responsible for in a timely, accurate and complete manner within SLAs

3. Understand the risks associated with your business and function

4. Work on new/urgent regulatory requirements.

5. Manage client queries and provide exceptional client service

6. Handling collateral reporting as per functional requirements

7. Exceptions and breaks management, investigation, escalation and resolution

1. Flexible to work in EMEA and early US night shift on rotational basis.

Your team

You'll be working in the Global Collateral & Margin Management operations team.

Collateral Management are a global function with a presence in UK, US and APAC. We're responsible for the delivery of collateral and margin management for UBS investment bank across all product lines. This helps mitigate credit risk exposure that UBS or our counterparties face and increasingly impacts the regulatory capital that UBS has to hold and the bank's overall cost of funding

You'll be working in the Global Collateral management operations team.

Your expertise

1. Able to think creatively, flexibly and think logically to solve problems
2. Mindset for Digital transformation and improving processes, supporting Global change initiatives
3. Confident working inclusively with a range of stakeholders and build relationships
4. Knowledge and exposure of Global Markets Operations, products, trade booking lifecycle, collateral management
5. Understanding of risk framework and controls, Regulatory requirements i.e. CFTC, Uncleared margin rules
6. Develop and maintain accurate portfolio information for external clients and internal parties.
7. Responsible for efficient reconciliation of investment portfolios and provision of investigative support to related business units and Portfolio Managers.
8. Establish and maintain cordial relationship with various stakeholders including internal and external parties.
9. Identify and investigate exceptions within established time parameters.
10. Escalate and work closely with clients and custodian banks to ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
11. Ensure Work is performed within existing procedures and processes ensuring clear and concise documentation is created and maintained.
12. Remain familiar with relevant securities industry development specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and/or internal clients and custodial service providers.
13. Recognize lapses on different workflows and recommend/initiate process improvements/control measures.
14. Provide support to the team as required, to participate in a regular program of industry specific training and interdepartmental cross training to ensure continuity of service.
15. Good understanding of OTC products
16. Good understanding of credit, legal and front office processes
17. Good understanding OTC Derivatives
18. Good understanding of Varian Margin & Initial Margin
19. Experience working in regulatory compliance position(preferable)
20. Knowledge of ISDA CSA and the 2001 ISDA Margin Provisions
21. Regulatory awareness – CFTC; SEC; EMIR; MAS and HKMA
22. Understanding of other margining functions (preferable)
23. Knowledge of TriOptima (preferable)
24. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Program Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
