We are looking for an Accountant/ Finance & Accounts Manager who will take complete ownership of the accounting and financial functions in our organization.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Accountant/ Finance & Accounts Manager who will take complete ownership of the accounting and financial functions in our organization.Since this is a standalone role, the ideal candidate should be comfortable handling both strategic finance responsibilities and hands-on accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, vendor payments, salary payouts, reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reporting.

The role is best suited for someone who enjoys working independently and ensuring financial compliance while also contributing to business decision-making.

The ideal candidate would have experience managing end-to-end accounting functions in a construction company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Record and maintaining financial transactions. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, ensuring financial data integrity.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Day-to-Day Financial Transactions

• Process vendor payments and maintain vendor accounts.
• Handle salary payouts, reimbursements, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, GST, etc.).
• Oversee petty cash and ensure smooth cash flow management.
• Assist with tax filing (GST, TDS, income tax) and coordinate with external consultants.

Financial Planning & Compliance

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare and assist with internal and external audits.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest process improvements.
• Liaises with auditors, tax consultants, and management for compliance and financial insights.

Qualifications:

Minimum :

B. Com with 5 years of experience in accounting & finance.

Preferred:

M.Com (Master of Commerce) with 5 years of experience

Semi-Qualified CA (Cleared CA Inter) or CMA (Cost Accountant) with 4 years of experience

Additional Skills required (regardless of qualification)

· Prior experience in construction industry would be highly preferred.

• Strong hands-on experience with bookkeeping, vendor payments, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally and other accounting softwares.
• Excellent knowledge of financial statements, bank reconciliations, GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and and take ownership of accounts & finance functions.
