The Accounts Receivable department at Booking Holdings receives payments from over 200 countries, several currencies and payment methods with complex processes and controls. This leadership role will offer an array of opportunities for someone that enjoys and thrives in an evolving and dynamic finance environment.

The Accounts Receivable Team Lead is responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable team in the India COE and the role includes managing the overall performance and meeting KPIs for the Accounts Receivable team.

In this role, the Team Lead will be responsible to supervise and guide team members, manage their performance, day to day workload management and operational reporting to stakeholder groups

The Team Lead will work in partnership with stakeholders across Booking Holdings to achieve the larger Order-To-Cash departments goals that are key to the companys growth and success.

Role & Responsibilities :

1. Leadership Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Supervise and guide a team of Accounts Receivable (AR) representatives
  • Performance Management: Evaluate team members' performance, provide feedback, and develop and execute improvement plans
  • Training and Development: Train new and existing team members as needed and ensure team members stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • SOP Management - Ensure SOPs are updated regularly with updates and learnings

2. Stakeholder Communication

  • Be the owner of Key Performance Indicators for payment application and responses to internal business partners.
  • Be the first level of escalation for any operational issues and work related concerns.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and relationships at an operations level
  • Report KPIs and team metrics to management regularly.

3. Operational Responsibilities

  • Cash Application: Ensure accurate and timely application of cash receipts
  • Portfolio Allocation - Consistently review and manage portfolio allocation with seasonal peaks and volume spikes
  • Daily internal reporting on team and individual performance to management
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of payments
  • Reconcile cash receipts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
  • Unknown Management - Manage unknowns, including researching and resolving unknown transactions
  • Responsible for managing workflow and ticketing tools and ensuring tickets are closed timely
  • Manage daily attendance and leave planning especially during month-end close
  • Serve as a SME and be well versed in all daily operational activities
  • Support and contribute to a smooth month-end close.

4. Analytical Responsibilities

  • Metrics and Reporting: Analyse and Daily/Weekly Report on Cash Apps metrics
  • Prepare Process Knowledge Tests (PKTs) every quarter

5. Communicate and Collaborate with various teams like credit control and business regarding payment and cash allocation issues and escalate in a proactive manner

  • Support Manager in daily huddles with right data

6. Audit Responsibility - Ensure the daily audit process in place and daily report outs happening.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

  • SAP S4 Hana (Preferable), MS office, Google Workspace
  • Cash Application/Allocation experience is a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present, make decisions and gain consensus with a large group
  • Direct team management of 8-10 FTEs
  • Knowledge of SOP preparations, Job aids
  • Six Sigma project experience (Preferable)
  • Experience in team management including employee reviews, appraisals, and assessments
  • Motivational lead who can motivate the team members regularly
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Accurate with good attention to detail
  • Demonstrate tenacity, drive, ability to inspire and collaborate
  • Ability to multi-task & a flexible and positive attitude
  • Able to operate effectively in a complex environment with a wide variety of stakeholders
