Job Description - Student Counselor

Student Guidance:

  • Provide information and guidance to prospective students about academic programs, admission requirements, application procedures, and other relevant details.
  • Assist students in exploring their interests, goals, and career aspirations to align them with suitable academic programs.

Admissions Process:

  • Review and evaluate student applications to ensure they meet the institution's admission criteria.
  • Communicate admission decisions to applicants and provide feedback when necessary.
  • Assist students in completing the necessary paperwork and documentation for the application process.

Counseling:

  • Offer one-on-one counseling sessions to address questions, concerns, and challenges related to the admissions process.
  • Provide support and guidance to students who may be facing difficulties in meeting admission requirements.

Information Sessions and Events:

  • Conduct information sessions, campus tours, and open houses to promote the institution and its programs to potential students and their families.
  • Represent the institution at college fairs, high schools, and community events to attract and recruit prospective students.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospective and admitted students.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to admissions to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process.
  • Work closely with other counselors and admissions professionals to share best practices and enhance the overall effectiveness of the admissions team.

Marketing and Outreach:

  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and outreach strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified applicants.
  • Utilize various communication channels, including social media, to engage with prospective students and disseminate relevant information.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay informed about changes in admission policies, educational trends, and relevant regulations.
  • Attend professional development workshops and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills in college admissions counseling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
