Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an AI/ML Engineer. The AI/ML Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models, developing algorithms, improving data-driven systems, and applying neural network principles to solve real-world challenges. Responsibilities also include conducting research to create innovative tools and contributing to enhancing organizational capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on AI/ML development & deployment.
  • Strong experience with Azure AI stack:
  • Azure Machine Learning (pipelines, ML-Ops, model registry, monitoring).
  • Azure AI Search (vector DB, embeddings, semantic ranking).
  • Azure OpenAI (prompt engineering, fine-tuning).
  • Azure AI Services (translation, text analytics, anomaly detection).
  • Azure Document Intelligence (OCR, form recognition, entity extraction).
  • Strong programming experience in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with ML-Ops best practices (CI/CD for ML, model lifecycle, drift detection).
  • Hands-on with data engineering pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Event Grid, Databricks).
  • Prior experience in model training, fine-tuning, and deployment at scale.
  • Good understanding of regulatory compliance (21 CFR Part 11, GDPR) for AI systems.
  • Familiarity with LLM integration in enterprise apps (e.g., GPT, embedding models).

Preferred Skills (good to have)

  • Prior experience in Life Sciences / Clinical Trials / Quality Systems.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS AI systems.
  • Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles.
  • Work with the data engineer to fine tune data ingestion pipelines built us using Azure Data Factory & Event Grid.
  • Ensure compliance for data storage, audit trails, and model versioning.
  • Implement AI explainability for regulatory transparency (why a model flagged a risk or document deviation).
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for models (training data lineage, version control, performance metrics)
