Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technological strategy and digital transformation of our retail jewellery business. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in retail systems, e-commerce infrastructure, digital platforms, enterprise IT, and data analytics, with a proven ability to implement scalable, innovative technology solutions across diverse retail formats including COCO (Company-Owned Company-Operated), FOFO (Franchise-Owned Franchise-Operated), SIS (Shop-in-Shop), and digital commerce.

This executive role demands strategic foresight, operational discipline, and a customer-centric mindset to drive technology-led business value.

Position Objective

To design and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that enhances customer engagement, operational efficiency, and digital capability across all retail and digital channels. The CTO will serve as a key member of the leadership team, aligning all technology initiatives with business objectives and market needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Vision & Strategy

  • Define and lead the company's long-term technology roadmap aligned with business growth and innovation goals.
  • Identify emerging technologies and evaluate their application to strengthen business performance and customer experience.

2. Digital Transformation

  • Drive omnichannel and e-commerce initiatives to unify digital and physical retail experiences.
  • Ensure that technology supports personalization, scalability, and seamless customer interaction.

3. IT Infrastructure & Operations

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud services, and system operations to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in system performance and availability.

4. Data Management & Analytics

  • Establish robust data governance frameworks to support advanced analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Enable customer insights, sales forecasting, and inventory intelligence through data platforms.

5. Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Implement industry-leading security practices across systems and networks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and regulatory frameworks.

6. Retail Technology Enablement

  • Optimize platforms supporting POS, CRM, inventory management, and loyalty programs across stores.
  • Enhance in-store technologies to improve operational control and customer experience.

7. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Identify and manage strategic technology partners, digital agencies, and software providers.
  • Negotiate and oversee implementation of third-party tools and solutions.

8. Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing internal technology team across development, IT support, and infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

9. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Retail, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Operations to align technology with business requirements and goals.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree (MBA or M.Tech) preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in senior technology roles
  • At least 3–5 years of leadership experience within retail, jewellery, luxury, or consumer-facing sectors
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and scaling complex technology ecosystems
