Hostel Warden

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hostel operations: room allocation, occupancy records, maintenance of rooms & common areas, cleanliness, and hygiene.
• Ensure safety and security of residents: monitor entry/exit of visitors, coordinate with campus security, conduct regular patrols/inspections of hostel premises.
• Enforce hostel rules and regulations; maintain discipline; deal with violations or misconduct and escalate when necessary.
• Student welfare and guidance: address residential grievances, mentor students living away from home, provide counselling/referral for personal/academic issues.
• Coordinate with mess/catering services: ensure quality of meals, hygiene in dining hall, manage feedback from students.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security and other support staff to ensure services run efficiently.
• Organize periodic hostel activities/events (recreational, cultural) to foster community spirit among residents.
• Be available on campus/residential duty (including night/emergency duty as needed) for handling any urgent hostel issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline (master's preferred).
• 3 years (or more) of experience in hostel/residential management in an educational institution or similar environment.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills in English & Hindi; ability to deal with young adults yrs) with empathy yet firmness.
• Excellent organisational, conflict resolution, crisis management and record-keeping skills.
• Good computer literacy (MS Office, basic administrative software).
• Ability to stay on-campus or be on standby for emergencies / night duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
