Job title: Plant HR Lead, Human Resources
Reports to: Director, Human Resources
PURPOSE: Drive human resource function, strategies and programs in complex environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Processes
- Responsible for ensuring the right talent allocation and facilitating a high performing environment by leveraging their full potential.
- Ensuring the WC and BC development initiatives.
- Partner Goal Setting Process, Mid year and Annual performance management of Staff.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of people motivation, Reward & Recognition etc
- Consistently Raise Employee Engagement Score of the Factory.
- Communicates effectively to the stakeholders on relevant policies, procedures and change programs.
Industrial Relations : Harmonious
- Smooth Communication with all categories of employees.
- Responsible for long term settlement (LTS), collective bargaining process, implementation of LTS.
- Having joint negotiations with Union Committee members from time to time for the industrial peace, production, discipline and healthy atmosphere in the Plant.
- Creating and Sustaining productive Industrial Relations, Union management relations.
- Shop floor Employee Relations, Grievance Handling.
- Implementing Standing Orders at shop floor, Ensure Discipline & Carry out Disciplinary Proceedings
Employee Welfare & General Administration:
- Ensure smooth operations of Employee related Facilities like Canteen, Creche, OHC, Employee Transport and availability of Employee Related Welfare Items.
- Overall Security, Administration and Estate Management.
Time Office / Payroll Management & Temps Management
- Accountable for Attendance & Payroll Management of all categories of employees.
- Ensure Availability of right skills and consistency of skills.
Statutory Compliances : Best in class - Zero non-compliances
- Responsible for Plant Statutory Compliances.
- Work towards consistently improving compliance based on audit remarks.
- Periodic submission of Returns to the Govt. under Factories Act 1948 and other Allied Acts including Factory License on time.
- Attend Govt Inspections and Audits. Implement Correction & Improvement points raised in the Audit. End to end closure of Audit Observations.
- Smooth Operation & Governance of various statutory committees - Works Committee, Grievance Redressal Committee, POSH, Safety Committee.
- Maintaining the statutory records and registers, Regular updation of records and forms for all applicable Labour Related Laws ensuring reliability and retrial of the same.
- Responsible for Regulation of contract labour employment, Assessment of contracts, Registration - Preparation of Application for Registration, Coordination with concerned departments to obtain Registration, submission of periodic Returns.
- Period Review of Statutory Compliances to ensure right controls and continuous improvements.
Liasoning : Smooth relations
- Coordination and Smooth relations with Government Departments.
- Liaise with Local bodies, Panchayats and Interested Parties.
- Ensure on-time Approvals from various authorities.
Employee Relations : Create culture of belongingness
- Total Employee Involvement, Workers Participation in Management.
- Shop floor conflict resolutions, Change Management.
- Keep shop floor culture motivated by driving various recognition forums.
Factory Cost & Overheads : Consistently drive initiatives to reduce costs.
- Plan and Budget cost of HR functions, Drive innovative initiatives to reduce costs without affecting Quality.
- Constantly keep track of various costs of HR functions like Manpower cost, Admin costs, etc.

- World Class Manufacturing (WCM) - People Development Pillar
- Integrated Management System (IMS) - ISO, OHSAS, EMS & Social Audits
- Successful implementation of CSR initiatives at Plant
- Spearheads the culture-building and change management initiatives at the plant to support the execution of the business strategy.
Networking
Internal
Cool Coordinate with Safety, Production, Union & various committee teams to drive peaceful relations.
External
Govt. Authorities, Local Authorities/ Offices and Interested Parties.

Post Graduate in Human Resources
