Hongyi JIG Rapid Technologies is a 30-year-old Product Development and Tooling partner operating across India and Hong Kong, serving industries such as Large-Size Home Appliances, Automotive, Electronics, and Medical Devices.

At Hongyi JIG 2.0, we have evolved from a conventional toolmaker into Indias first PMO (Project Management Office) for Product Launches a system-driven organization integrating Design, DFM, Tooling, Trials, and Launch Governance under one transparent structure.

Position Summary

The Project Head / PMO Head oversees all projects from RFQ handover to client delivery, ensuring technical accuracy, supplier coordination, and timely execution.

This role is central to maintaining project visibility, profit control, and client satisfaction, acting as the single communication bridge between Sales, Vendor, and Technical teams across India and China.

  • Managing Director (MD / Jagdeep Khattar)
  • Collaborates With: Sales Head, Sourcing Executive, Project Leaders, China PMO Team

Key Responsibilities Area

Core Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Governance: Prepare and monitor project plans from booking to delivery. Define milestones (DFM, Steel GO, Design Approval, T1T2 Trials, Buyoff, Dispatch).

2. Cross-Functional Coordination

Lead weekly meetings with Sales, Vendor, and Technical teams. Ensure issue tracking, accountability, and task closure.

3. Client Communication & Reporting

Serve as the single communication channel for client updates, progress reports, and risk mitigation summaries.

4. Supplier & China Team Coordination

Review daily reports from the China team, validate photos/videos, ensure schedule compliance, and update supplier performance logs.

5. Risk Forecasting & Escalation Management

Identify potential schedule, cost, or quality risks in advance and prepare contingency actions.

6. Profit & Cost Control

Track GP% per project vs plan, prevent rework losses, monitor vendor costs, and flag any deviation to MD.

7. System Discipline (Odoo / SETU)

Ensure all project milestones, progress photos, and remarks are updated in Odoo / SETU for visibility and audit readiness.

8. Leadership & Mentorship

Guide Project Leaders (Tool Design & Quality) in adopting Hongyis project governance standards and review protocols.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

  1. 100% on-time and in-specification project delivery.
  2. Maintain 90% client satisfaction rating.
  3. Achieve planned GP% for each project with zero unapproved ECNs.
  4. 100% milestone documentation in PMO system.
  5. Weekly risk forecasting and review discipline.
  6. Build and maintain 2 performing PMO teams for scaling.
  7. Ensure zero client escalations due to lack of communication.

Qualification & Experience Requirement Details

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Tool Engineering (MBA or PMP certification preferred)
  • Experience: 10-15 years in Tooling / Product Development / Project Management
  • Technical Skills: DFM, Tool Construction, Validation, Mould Trials, Supplier Management
  • Software Skills: Odoo, MS Excel, Gantt Tools, Risk & Issue Tracker
  • Soft Skills: Leadership presence, calm under pressure, problem-solving, structured communication
