We are looking for a Data Engineering Tech Lead to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.

The Role:

As a Tech Lead, you will be leading a talented team working with Azure, Snowflake, and DBT technology to build robust data solutions. We are looking for a Tech Lead who can bring technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for driving impactful data products. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in Python and possess an automation mindset, enabling them to mentor others, provide solutions, and ensure that SDLC best practices for data are embraced and followed.
In This Role, You Will:
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team.
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data pipelines using Azure, Snowflake, and DBT technologies.
- Programming Languages Python.
- Solid understanding on Data Modeling.
- Drive automation as first-class citizen within the projects and teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data engineering team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
Delivery Coordination:
- Facilitate and orchestrates across teams the agile and incremental delivery of targeted business outcomes
- Animate technical discussions and sharing within own team and across teams, participates in sketching sessions with the behavioral specialist, product manager and business analyst, coaches younger developers and partners with operations to improve the continuous delivery pipeline
- Ensure that all the operations are well documented and available for the right community to access them.
Data Quality and Governance:
- Implement best practices for data quality assurance and governance.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for data engineering processes and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the team's capabilities.
What We're Looking For:
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Expertise in Snowflake data platform.
- Strong proficiency in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
- Strong proficiency in Apache Airflow
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Solid understanding of dataops practices.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
Leadership Skills:
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing high-performing technical teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Create the context: create alignment and the adoption of our IT Vision to Life (IT V2L), lead by example, promote an open culture and our values in a sustainable way, promote innovation and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Drive performance: empower and enable people, give and receive feedback, evaluate and differentiate performance, constantly challenge the set up organization to ensure its results and effectiveness.
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in design and implementation experience in IT, with Agile methodologies in data engineering and architecture area.
- Previous experience in a tech lead or similar role.
- Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
- Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Good communication skills in English.
- Understanding of the online acquisition activities and their impact on eCommerce sites.
- Understanding of Content Management Systems, workflows and optimizations.
- Strong knowledge in SEO optimization.
