We are seeking an experienced Clinical Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist with a strong background in Teleradiology, CT, MRI, and Imaging Quality Management. The ideal candidate will ensure that all radiology reports, imaging processes, and clinical interpretations adhere to the highest quality standards and comply with national and international healthcare regulations. This role requires a professional with deep expertise in radiology workflows, process optimization, and clinical governance to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities- Quality Oversight:
Lead and implement comprehensive quality assurance processes across all radiology modalities, including CT, MRI, X-ray, and Ultrasound, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. - Teleradiology Quality Management:
Develop and maintain quality protocols for teleradiology reporting workflows, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality remote diagnostic interpretations across multiple sites and radiologists. - Clinical Audits & Reviews:
Conduct regular audits of imaging reports, cross-verifying findings for consistency and clinical accuracy. Provide feedback and training to radiologists and technicians based on audit outcomes. - Protocol Development & Standardization:
Design, document, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and imaging protocols for CT and MRI, ensuring alignment with the latest radiology best practices and technology advancements. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to clinical governance, NABH/NABL, AERB, HIPAA, and other relevant radiology quality and data privacy standards. Support compliance audits and maintain documentation readiness for inspections. - Training & Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous professional development through workshops and training sessions for radiologists, technologists, and QA staff on quality assurance methodologies and imaging optimization. - Incident and Error Management:
Investigate clinical discrepancies, reporting errors, or imaging artifacts. Implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans and track their effectiveness over time. - Performance Monitoring:
Establish KPIs and quality benchmarks for teleradiology turnaround time, image quality, report accuracy, and clinical outcome correlation. Generate periodic quality dashboards and improvement reports. - Technology & Innovation:
Collaborate with IT and PACS teams to ensure optimal use of radiology information systems (RIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and AI-based quality control tools.
- In-depth knowledge of radiology and imaging modalities, including CT and MRI.
- Hands-on experience with teleradiology workflows, reporting systems, and quality monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of clinical audit methodologies, quality metrics, and performance indicators.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in radiology (NABH, NABL, AERB, HIPAA, DICOM standards).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to work with radiologists, technicians, and management teams.
- Proficiency in using RIS, PACS, and QA dashboards for tracking and reporting quality performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification or training in Quality Management, Clinical Governance, or Healthcare Compliance preferred.
- Minimum of 8–12 years of relevant experience in radiology quality assurance, with significant exposure to teleradiology, CT, and MRI environments.
