Business Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) to join our product delivery and Scrum team. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements, specifically within the Certinia platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with interfaces and integration, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery.

1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners, to gather and document business

requirements, with a focus on how they translate into Certinia functionalities.

Analyze and validate business needs, translating them into detailed functional requirements for

Certinia implementations and integrations.

2. Interface and Integration:

Work closely with development teams to ensure proper implementation of business

requirements, particularly those related to Certinia integrations with other systems.

Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems, including Certinia, by

understanding, defining, and maintaining master data principles.

3. Product Backlog Management:

Assist the product owner in defining and prioritizing the product backlog, considering Certinia

capabilities and limitations.

Ensure user stories are well-defined, clear, and actionable for the development team, especially

those pertaining to Certinia configurations and customizations.

Participate and assist PO in backlog grooming sessions to refine and prioritize user stories,

with an understanding of Certinia's impact.

4. Technical Documentation:

Create comprehensive technical documentation, including process flows (preferably in UML

2.0), use case diagrams, and data models, specifically noting Certinia configurations and data

structures.

Maintain up-to-date documentation for all project-related artifacts, including Certinia-specific

details.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, translating

business needs into Certinia solutions and vice-versa.

Facilitate communication to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables, particularly

concerning Certinia functionality.

6. Testing and Validation:

Define and execute test cases to validate that the solutions, especially those implemented in Certinia, meet business requirements.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any issues that arise within the Certinia

environment.

Ensure the quality and functionality of the delivered product within Certinia.

7. Agile Practices:

Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint

reviews, and retrospectives, with an understanding of how Certinia impacts sprint goals.

Collaborate with the Scrum Master and product owner to ensure the team follows Agile best

practices in the context of Certinia projects.

Technical Skills:

Understanding of APIs, web services, and integration patterns, especially as they relate to Certinia.

Familiarity with database management systems and data modeling.

Experience with business process modeling and tools such as BPMN or UML.

Experience in ATS & CRM (i.e., Salesforce, Bullhorn), with specific emphasis on Salesforce

platform knowledge due to Certinia's native integration.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Strong hands-on experience with Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) modules (e.g., PSA, ERP,

SCM) including configuration, customization, and reporting.

Experience with Salesforce platform administration and development (Apex, Visualforce,

Lightning Components) is a significant plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a

related field.

Certifications in Certinia or Salesforce are highly desirable.

4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.

Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies is a huge plus.

Proficiency in using API management tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly for complex Certinia scenarios.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO) are a plus.
