Job Responsibilities

  • Build new features and APIs for our Android SDK, collaborating with other engineers on your team to produce simple and operationally sound software

  • Develop technical plans and contribute to our technical architecture as we grow

  • Design and document APIs that allow thousands of developers to seamlessly integrate Jiny into their mobile apps

  • Own the technical bar for the Android SDK, from enforcing best practices to unit testing to CI and our release process

  • Ship early and often. We at Jiny care about agility as much as we care for scalability and availability.

  • Grow your team's capacity by mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates. This is a chance to be an integral part of building and growing a team

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes

  • Familiarity with REST APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

  • Experience working with rendering custom layouts involving the latest material design templates and conventions

  • Should be able to convert wireframes to Android UI components rapidly

  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

  • Proficiency in Optimising Code and bundling of the package to an optimum size

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

  • Proficient understanding of the Object Oriented Programming and Designs of developing the architecture

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous development

  • Should have deployed at least one application on play store

  • Should be well versed with Service driven framework

  • Well verse with multithreaded systems, memory management, and scalability issues
