About The Role
As a Head of Transaction Banking, you are responsible for:
- Responsible for the sales of Transaction Banking products, solutions and services across designated markets
- Ensure TB International strategy for region and each market is aligned with TB and International Banking strategy
- Drive financial performance from target clients – including revenue growth, Rev/RWA, ROE, deposit growth
- Support teams in building pipeline of revenue and return accretive deals relevant to target client segments
- Deliver throw and catch revenue, contribute to total effort revenue, increase multi-product sales, and drive strong collaboration culture across countries, Relationships Managers and other stakeholders
- Work closely with Operations partners to ensure seamless customer experience and support model
- Shared ownership of risk, control and governance practices across TB International
- Advocate for Transaction Banking deals across International, Australia and New Zealand, and promote the wider Transaction Banking agenda, strategy and capabilities
- Manage TB people agenda (Learning & Development, Hiring, Diversity, Well-being)
- Ensure appropriate management of direct, controllable costs within agreed budgets

What will your day look like?
- Convert IB and Transaction Banking strategy into specific client goals, targets and initiatives, and communicate strategy to teams effectively
- Support TSC and PCM product teams to identify and build plan to address capability gaps; adopt both product and industry-led approaches to new product development, innovation and client targeting
- Create an appropriate sale and account management coverage model, in alignment particularly with Relationship and Service teams and ensuring role clarity
- Work closely with Relationship teams and Segment Heads on client account planning, wallet sizing and opportunity identification
- Understand clients current and future needs and support the Product teams to identify and address capability gaps
- Establish strong relationships with Transaction Banking Products, Implementation and wider IB teams
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven understanding of strategy, governance, compliance, risk management, control and regulation
- Extensive banking and financial industry knowledge and experiences
- Deep understanding and knowledge of banking, competitors and market
- Knowledge and proven application of financial and operational theories, models and practices, including process optimisation
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior clients, stakeholders and counterparts, including Boards, regulators, governments etc.
- People leadership, influence and change management – leading diverse, sales and trading businesses
