Security Screener

• Responsible for ensuring the screening of each and every shipment.
• View images of checked bags and cargo, using remote screening equipment, and alert baggage screeners or handlers to any possible problems.
• Search carry-on or checked baggage by hand when it is suspected to contain prohibited items such as weapons.
• Decide whether baggage that triggers alarms should be searched or should be allowed to pass through.
• Check baggage for any explosive materials, using equipment such as explosive detection machines.
• Notify supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Collate all shipment from designated areas near the X-ray machine at infeed side.
• Pass each and every package through the X-ray machine.
• Stage all the packages in designated areas near the X-ray machine at the outfeed side.
• Comment scan to be applied on every shipment.
• Maintain record of screened shipment in provided register.
• Locate suspicious bags pictured in printouts sent from remote monitoring areas, and set these bags aside for inspection.
• Following the screening process as per the SOP.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Preferably with certification in baggage scanning devices
• Preferably 02-03 years as baggage scanning operator
• Aviation/Hospitality background

The candidate should hold a valid certification and be a certified x-ray baggage scanner. Preferably from GMR/ BCAS, a certified institute.
